my first post

well, i've wanted to start a blog for a while, but haven't ever quite figured out what i would use this virtual space for. but now i've decided that it doesn't really matter, because after all, it's only virtual space. it's not like i'm getting in anyone's way by writing some words on my own screen that will probably not be viewed by many others.

so i'll probably complain about things that bother me, link to sites that are funny or ridiculously stupid, talk about books i'm reading, and in general, just find ways to waste this space. maybe once in a while, i'll actually find something interesting to say, but essentially, i expect this to be the dumping ground for my mental scraps.
